Dr. Stefano Marcuzzi

Dr. Stefano Marcuzzi joined University College Dublin in 2018 as a Marie-Curie Fellow at the School of Politics and International Relations where he is working on Libya with a special focus on EU-NATO approaches to crisis management in the region.

He took his DPhil in Military History at the University of Oxford in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Sir Hew Strachan; thereafter, Marcuzzi moved to Florence as a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI), where he worked on EU-NATO Mediterranean relations after 9/11 under the mentorship of Olivier Roy.

Marcuzzi is an analyst in Emerging Challenges at the NATO Defense College Foundation (Rome), a member of the Globalizing and Localizing the Great War Group (GLGW), the Changing Character of War Program (CCW), and the Oxford University Strategic Studies Group (OUSSG), Oxford; he is also an external fellow at Boston University (BU).
