In the Media: Hani Shennib and Anas Bhairi on Expanding U.S.–Libya Business Ties

NCUSLR President Hani Shennib and U.S.–Libya Business Circuit board member Anas Bhairi co-authored an op-ed in Libya Herald examining opportunities for stronger American commercial engagement in Libya beyond the energy sector.

Drawing on a survey conducted by the U.S.–Libya Business Circuit, an NCUSLR initiative, the authors discuss information gaps, compliance uncertainty, and banking barriers that limit business participation. They propose practical steps to support broader commercial partnerships, including clearer trade guidance and dedicated channels for bilateral engagement.
