Community Operation Analyst, Facebook
Malak Boud works as a Community Operation Analyst with Facebook. She was the Founder and General Director of the Libyan Debate Club, in which she use to organize and preside over debates as a moderator, as well as acting as a trainer during the Club’s workshops. She was a trainer in dialogue and communication skills, and participated in public debates on subjects pertaining to society, politics, and the issues affecting youth and women.
She has been a human rights activist since 2001, where she gained most of her experience in administration, event management & strategic planning, fundraising and multitasking. She was also the former Team Lead of the Clean up Benghazi Campaign; where she organized and led cleaning campaigns for the city of Benghazi with the aim of raising environmental awareness.
She attended several workshops, conferences and seminars on youth development, strategic planning and human rights, inside and outside Libya. From a young age, she was always fond of working with voluntary organizations for the betterment of her community. In Ireland as a refugee, she started to work on migrant and asylum seekers’ rights. Malak worked to raise awareness about asylum seekers’ right to work and the issues that they’re facing under direct provision. She also trained migrant women in communication skills and public speech.
