Rwanda Agrees to Host Libyan Refugees
The Rwandan government signed an agreement yesterday with the African Union and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees stating that it will host 500 refugees from Libya. The Rwandan government first announced its intention to provide support for the refugees trapped in Libya in 2017 as migration routes to Europe became more tightly controlled. According to the agreement the first group of refugees will arrive from Libya in the "coming weeks."
