Mohamed is a political and social activist, advocating for social justice and equality, especially for

women and youth. He has been heavily involved in the civil rights society in Libya, advocating for youth participation in the political process upon the war in 2011. He helped organize the first Libyan Youth Conference in Sabrtah, Libya in May 2012. He is also a co-founder of Amazonat Libya, a non-governmental organization that advocates for women empowerment. Amazonat fought for women economic independence through several initiatives and programs, it also worked on increasing women political participation in the 2012 and 2014 elections. Mohamed is an active member of Young Leaders of MENA Region Network and The Libo group for freedoms and rights.

Post-Libyan war, Mohammed worked with Handicap International France on leading the demining effort and raising awareness of war remains in impacted areas across several Libyan cities. Appointed by the National Transitional Council, Mohamed served as the Wounded Warriors Committee Executive Assistant in Alexandria, Egypt in 2012.

In the U.S., Mohamed presented and spoke at several conferences centered on social justice and inclusion, including NCORE, SOCC, and AISES. He also participated and facilitated multiple panels and lectures focused on raising awareness and dispelling misconceptions about the Arab world and Islam.

Mohamed is a member of the National Council's Executive Board. As a youth representative, he works on engaging youth with the Council’s efforts of pushing for U.S engagement in the peace-building process in Libya. This is accomplished by creating dialogue and Council-sponsored initiatives among youth.

Mohammed is a professional engineer in the aerospace industry. He obtained a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and Mathematics from Clarkson University. Along with masters of Engineering Management, and Artificial Intelligence. Mohamed was the first Libyan youth to be awarded the Network of Arab-Americans Professionals annual award for his distinguished work academically and professionally.
